The daily dose for Gesundheit Marine Phytoplankton will vary depending on your nutritional needs. We suggest a starting point of a 1/4 teaspoon once a day for the first week, and increase gradually up to a full teaspoon twice daily. Try it and see what works best for you.

Gesundheit Marine Phytoplankton mixes well with water or your choice of beverage. Juices like orange, cranberry or grape juice will help to mask the seaweedy flavor. Simply place the desired amount of phytoplankton in a dry, empty glass. Gently crush any small lumps so the powder will mix more evenly. Pour your choice of liquid into the glass, stir and drink right away. If there is any phytoplankton powder on the bottom of the glass, simply pour a little more liquid, stir and drink again until the glass is clear of powder.

Gesundheit is a whole food and is 100% natural, with no known negative side effects from taking too much. Phytoplankton does have a detoxifying effect, which means taking too much, too soon could result in nausea and/or increased bowel movements. If you notice these symptoms, simply reduce the amount of phytoplankton for a few days until your body adjusts.
